Opener

• Try to get as much rage as possible from the previous mob
• If you have more than 25 rage,
  • Deathwish > Heroic Strike & Taunt > Bloodthirst
• If you don’t have rage
  • Bloodrage > Heroic Strike & Taunt > Bloodthirst
• If your pulling from far
  • Shoot > Bloodrage > Battle Shout > Heroic Strike & Taunt > Bloodthirst
• If you’re the off-tank and no other DPS is on your target
  • Heroic Strike & Taunt > Sunder Armor x5

During Fight

• Bloodthirst > Revenge > Heroic Strike (or Cleave) > Battle Shout (or Sunder Armor)
• Bloodthirst - use it on every cooldown. Aim for 9+ CPM.
• Heroic Strike (or Cleave)
  • Queue Heroic Strike as much as possible while leaving enough rage for Bloodthirst.
  • If there are multiple mobs stacked and you have enough threat lead on your target, you can queue Cleave instead of Heroic Strike
• Battle Shout (or Sunder Armor)
  • If there are 4+ people in range, you generate more threat(280 = 70x4) than Sunder Armor(260)
  • Being in a tank group, there is a good chance you will hit 5 people every time. If there’s a hunter 6, including the pet.
  • Sunder Armor can parry or dodge. Battle Shout is always successful.
  • Use Battle Shout as a filler if you have excess rage after using Bloodthirst, Revenge, Heroic Strike.
  • Use Sunder Armor if Sunder Armor debuff is about to expire(10s or less)
• Demoralizing Shout - Make sure it’s up 100% after your opener. It resists 16% of the time, so be ready to cast multiple times.
• On a hard hitting boss, once you establish enough threat, swap to shield.

Keybinds

• I highly recommend using a mouse button or mouse wheel for Heroic Strike.
• As the main tank, in many cases you will have enough rage to spam Heroic Strike from the beginning till the end because of the rage generate by the damage you take.
• If you use Heroic Strike using a keyboard, it’s very likely to miss couple of HS queue while using other skills like Bloodthirst, Taunt, Battle Shout, Sunder Armor etc.
• If you use a mouse for HS, you can simultaneously queue HS using the mouse while casting other skills using a keyboard. For that reason, I use mouse wheel for HS.
• More heroic strike = better TPS = less chance for DPS pulling threat = more DPS = shorter kill time = less stress on the healer
